In learning, serving, and connecting, we grow together in faith toward God and love toward one another.
At Resurrection, we value learning and studying God's word together as mature followers of Jesus. This includes a Saturday morning Bible Study, a monthly women's Bible Study, monthly Pub Theology, the annual all-congregation summer read, and Sunday morning Adult Forum during the school year.
Jesus told us to love our neighbors. We do this by feeding the hungry at the Des Moines homesless shelter, collecting school supplies with Lutheran World Relief, hosting a community garden with LSI's Global Greens refugee & immigrant services, supporting Habitat for Humanity, and providing space for community groups.
Within our congregation, we work to build relationships to care for and support one another. There are many ways to connect at RLC, including weekly refreshments at worship, small groups, and congregational outings to the Iowa Cubs. From the warmth of soup suppers to the sweetness of the annual pie and ice cream social, gathering is important to the RLC community.
